38pt Cotton Letterpress Postcards in Palm Springs

Letterpress postcards on ultra thick 38pt cotton stock from Clubcard Palm Springs are designed for projects where material quality and print execution carry equal importance. These pieces are produced using traditional letterpress techniques, creating a tactile surface where design is physically pressed into the paper.

Each postcard is made from cotton stock with a substantial thickness of 38 points. The paper has a soft, dense texture that feels noticeably heavier than standard options, giving it a strong and deliberate presence in hand. This added thickness allows for a deeper impression, bringing clarity and dimension to typography, logos, and graphic elements.

As the printing process presses ink into the surface, the artwork becomes embedded within the paper rather than sitting on top. This creates a sculpted effect that adds depth without relying on visual excess, making even minimal layouts feel considered and complete.

Pantone Color Accuracy

Postcards are printed using one or two Pantone spot colors to ensure precise and consistent color reproduction. Whether working with subtle neutrals or more defined tones, Pantone inks provide control and reliability across the entire print run.

On cotton stock, the ink appears with a soft matte quality that complements the depth of the impression. The result is clean, balanced, and refined.

For more restrained designs, blind impressions without ink can be used to create detail through light and shadow alone, offering a subtle but effective alternative.

*please note we do not offer floods / full ink coverage on letterpress cards.

Applications for Events and Announcements

38pt cotton letterpress postcards are well suited for a range of personal and event based uses, including:

Save the date announcements
Wedding invitations
Engagement and bridal events
Rehearsal dinners
Birth announcements
Anniversaries
Formal gatherings and private events

The combination of weight, texture, and impression supports layouts that focus on typography, spacing, and detail.

Luxury Finishing Options

Additional finishing techniques can be applied to further refine the presentation:

• Foil stamping adds metallic detail with a clean and controlled finish
• Blind debossing creates depth without ink for a tonal effect
• Painted edges introduce bold color along the sides of the card
• Gilded edges apply metallic foil to the edges for a more elevated result
• Die cutting allows for custom shapes that align with the overall design

These options integrate seamlessly with letterpress printing to create cohesive and highly detailed pieces.

Ultra Thick Cotton Stock

The 38pt cotton stock is central to the final result. Its thickness and soft fibre structure allow for a deeper and more defined impression than lighter papers. This gives each postcard a clear sense of structure and durability while maintaining a refined surface.

The card remains rigid, holds its shape, and preserves the integrity of the pressed design over time.
